After practicing law for over two decades at two of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world (Skadden Arps and Jones Day, where he was a partner for many years) on some of the most complex and highly contested lawsuits, Bill co-founded Hine & Ogulluk LLP, a firm focused on efficiently providing high quality litigation services and business advice at reasonable rates.

He has extensive experience in all aspects of complex business litigation in state and federal courts, international/domestic arbitrations and mediations, including trials, appeals, injunction proceedings, motion practice, discovery, oral argument, and settlement negotiations. He has represented numerous companies, executives, directors and individuals across various industries, including the financial, construction, technology, insurance and energy industries, in large-scale lawsuits involving complex financial instrument, merger, contract, trade secret, construction, employment, bankruptcy, fraud and fiduciary duty claims.  He is experienced in class actions, international litigations, Delaware Chancery Court, multi-district litigations, bankruptcy court, SEC/DOJ investigations, appeals and injunction proceedings.

Bill majored in nuclear engineering and graduated near the top of his class at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, was a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (serving in a construction battalion in Germany), earned Masters degrees in business and European history, and became licensed as a professional civil engineer (P.E.).  He also has extensive experience (as a lawyer and businessman) in contract negotiations, construction and real estate development, business planning and finance, and advising businesses on myriad commercial and legal matters.  He is an Adjunct Professor of Law (teaching litigation techniques) and has co-authored a chapter on Infrastructure Litigation in a leading treatise on New York Commercial Litigation.
